Earring and Ear Piercing Trends 2021 – #1: “Ultimate Gray” and “Illuminating” Yellow
Never before have we been so much looking forward to a new color of the year as in the midst of a pandemic. And the Pantone Color Institute did not disappoint us: Like in 2016, it’s not one but two tones that have been defined as the Pantone color of the year: “Ultimate Gray” and “Illuminating” yellow.
As Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute says,
“The union of an enduring Ultimate Gray with the vibrant yellow Illuminating expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this is a color combination that gives us resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged and uplifted; this is essential to the human spirit.”
