To present you the earring trends 2016, we’ve been scouting out jewelry designers and jewelry shows such as INHORGENTA MUNICH 2016 and BASELWORLD 2016. The following trends will be dominant in the year 2016:
Earring Trends 2016 – #1: Multiple Earrings per Ear
As in the previous years, wearing multiple earrings per ear will be “in” this year. Therefore studs in various colors and shapes are clearly more popular than long dangling earrings or large statement earrings. Combinations of two or three earrings in the earlobe with one or two earrings on the top part of the ear (helix) are in style. This look can also be complemented with ear cuffs.
Other nice combinations can be found on the STUDEX pinboards on Pinterest: “Cute Ear Piercing Pictures and Videos” or “Stack It.”
Earring Trends 2016 – #2: Soft Rose Tone and Cool, Airy Light Blue
For the first time, the PANTONE® color experts have selected two shades as the PANTONE Color of the Year 2016: PANTONE 13-1520 Rose Quartz and PANTONE 15-3919 Serenity. This combination of a warm, embracing rose tone with a cool, tranquil light blue is reflected in this year’s earring trends. Jewelry in silver tones is the perfect match for these colors.
Gorgeous pieces that represent this color trend can be found as part of the STUDEX collection of piercing studs for the STUDEX System75 ear piercing system. The “hidden treasures” by Claudia Hoppe, bangles made from stainless steel with lacquer, and the pendant by Richard Hans Becker are beautiful examples as well.
Earring Trends 2016 – #3: Flower Power
Alessio Sorrentino’s pieces, the daisy studs by STUDEX or this necklace by Ernst Färber are proof of this trend. The Flora designs from the Piccola Insignia collection by MY iMenso are a true eye-catcher. These rings made from 925 silver feature natural dried miniature flowers captured in resin.
